Hi, I'm Jen, and I'm from Florida. I've had an ongoing love affair with England for about seven years now, having studied abroad, done BUNAC, and visited. I'm getting my Italian citizenship this summer, and hope to move to London this year, but it depends on where and when I find another job, as I was laid off in September. I have savings, but I'm terrified to move overseas without a job offer. :?:

It's good to see some familiar faces here! :)

Hey loveaturtle

Good to see you again.
Hope you find a job soon. I agree, it's not fun living off savings.
See ya about.

Hey Navie! Good to see you find your way in here. That must have been a long piece of string you had to follow to get here. ;)

Greetings from Pompey. I'm the yankee formerly known as joysoula, from NJ, lived in NY, MA, IL, and WA. 2007:Spent 6 months in the UK as a visitor, returned as a fiancee in July 2008, married my Englishman August 2008, spouse visa was granted January 2009.

Worked as a temp (that's for another thread!) and been working full time since last Sept.

Studying for the Life in the UK Test and saving for ILR fee. Hope to get my UK driving license and a car before I forget how to drive.

Just spent a week down with the flu. Nice to see familiar names on here.

Gotta go...almost time for Emmerdale.

Cheers!

Hello. I joined a while ago, but forgot to introduce myself. I can be a bit of a numpty sometimes, so sorry about that...LOL I don't get on the "other" site much anymore, am called wvgirl69 there. I, as you can tell from my name, am originally from West Virginia. Have been here in Plymouth, Devon for going on 6 years now. I am a naturalised Brit, with 2 wonderful "dualy" daughters. One is almost 5 (just started reception last Sept) and the other turned a year old on the 9th. Hubby is originally from Bournemouth, Dorset, but has been based here for over 15 years with the Royal Marine Commandos. He's due to retire next year after almost 27 years...YAY! Anyway, just wanted to say Hi. xx

Hi! Not sure if I belong here.. I recently moved back to the USA .. (Arizona for now) but am hoping/ struggling to get to CA where my Brit DH has a job and is currently living with my folks until things get a bit more settled..praying before Easter... So I am basically doing the single mom thing and seeing my dh for 24 hours each weekend if I am lucky.. I don't know if there is a repat board or if I am welcome since I am 'back' but as for the UK 'experience' I lived there for 5 years. Birmingham to be exact. During that time I worked, had a child with special needs on the NHS and lived with my in-laws for 9 months (not all in that order..) I left behind both Brit and American pals and although I struggled when I lived there, I have to be honest and tell you there is a lot of culture shock when you move back.. sooo Ayoubob, point me to the games!! :D
