Does anyone know what the requirements are for homeschooling a child in the UK? The school my friend's son attends only takes children up to age 14, and he will be 15 in September. Because of his problems, he has been kicked out of all the main stream schools in the area and to be honest, is better off not attending regular school. He had been attending a special school and should have been lined up to attend a different school, but then he had an altercation with the teacher so they don't want him anymore. If she can't find a school for him, she has to figure out a way to homeschool him for his last 2 years of school, but we're not sure if it's even possible.

I just did a quick search and it looks like your friend and her son should be fine. I found this off of the Direct gov website. It has more useful links to help her get started.
